AT THE HEART OF OUR WORK: FIVE-DAY RETREATS AT NEW LANDS
A Retreat at New Lands provides the opportunity to withdraw from the outer world and spend a few days in White Eagle’s home—in beautiful surroundings and countryside, being nourished both physically and spiritually.
It is a special time for reconnecting with your soul purpose, through meditation and communion with the divine spirit within and the higher worlds. On a retreat this year you will have a particular opportunity to be part of the unfoldment of White Eagle’s Wisdom School. Retreats also offer time for lightheartedness and companionship with like-minded people. Indeed friendships are often forged which last for years. In order to be able to lead people in the deeper aspects of White Eagle’s teaching and meditation, we offer retreat places just to members of the Lodge. On all retreats there will be times for meditation, attunement, worship, spiritual service, discussion, spiritual practice, teaching and questions. During the five days there will be opportunities to attend contact healing services, and possibly to sit on an absent healing group. At the end of a retreat we hope participants will leave having opened up a wider channel between the earthly personality and the spiritual self, and feel refreshed and at peace.
Food at New Lands is plentiful, vegetarian, and organic where possible. We can provide specially made vegan meals if requested beforehand. We also have soya milk and rye bread available. It is important to realise, however, that with only one cook/housekeeper we cannot provide more choices at meals. There will always be vegetables, fruit and cheese available.
In harmony with White Eagle's teaching, we like to keep New Lands a meat-free and fish-free zone, and non-smoking.
Each retreat runs from Saturday afternoon and ends after breakfast on Thursday morning.
This retreat falls during the great burst of fresh life in spring. Although the heart of this retreat is White Eagle’s meditation, Colum will also help participants find new connections with nature, through observation and time outdoors. There will be time to be silent and contemplate the magic of the created world. We learn to understand the natural world not just as beauty in physical form, but as an etheric landscape.
'Spiritual Unfoldment with White Eagle'
led by Jenny Dent
Saturday 8th May to Thursday 13th May
This Wisdom School Retreat will include all aspects of the beautiful and safe way White Eagle offers us to unfold our innate spirituality, learning to work in closer partnership with our own guides and the angelic kingdom. We will also look at White Eagle’s work in Wisdom Schools of the past and our own individual connection with him and those times.
'Practising the Presence of God'
led by Anna Hayward
Saturday 22nd May to Thursday 27th May
During this retreat we will use White Eagle’s teaching to explore together how to live as spiritual beings in a material world. In the safe and spiritual place of New Lands, you have the chance to renew your acquaintance with God, and the God within, through stillness and silence, meditation, beauty, and shared experience, and to deepen your understanding of how to bring the spiritual self closer to the physical.
Saturday 25th September to Thursday 30th September
Working more closely and consciously with our angelic brethren is a part of our Wisdom School curriculum. On this Retreat we will not only focus on work with our own star and zodiac angels, but also with the great angels of the Seven Rays. The Retreat will also include some sacred geometry work with platonic solids. During the retreat we will link closely with White Eagle and our own individual guides who lead us on our path of unfoldment.
The Sunday of this Retreat will also include the Open Retreat Morning ‘Celebrating St. Michael and All Angels’.
'Working with the Chakra through the Heart'
led by Anna Hayward
Saturday 23rd October to Thursday 28th October
This retreat will use White Eagle’s teaching, meditation, chanting, and individual exercises to gently and safely explore the etheric body. White Eagle says the heart chakra is the balance point of the whole, and so we will bring all we do to this harmonious centre of love.
The history of the Lodge covers much of the 20th century, but its origins can truly be seen in the timeless wisdom of eternity. In this special retreat Colum links present and past, weaving a fascinating story set in France, Italy, England, the Americas, and also the Himalaya, Hyperborea and among the oldest known religious teachings. Through understanding this heritage and through times of meditation and stillness, we deepen our awareness of who we are.
Retreat fees can be paid in instalments to suit you. We are pleased to be able to keep the cost of a full retreat to £295 (unchanged for the last two years), with a single room supplement (if the single room is requested) of £50. We are most grateful to a grant making charity, The Inlight Trust, for support in subsidising retreat fees so that we can make it possible for the largest practical number of friends and members to enjoy the beauty and nurture of events at White Eagle’s home.
If you would like to apply for a retreat but could only come with the assistance of a retreat bursary, please write in confidence to Anna Hayward. We are also especially grateful if members and friends are generously willing to make it possible for others—who are actively engaged in White Eagle’s work, but are prevented for financial reasons from experiencing the enrichment of a retreat at New Lands—to do so. If you are kindly able to help other members of White Eagle’s family in this way, please send your gift to Anna Hayward, marked ‘Retreat Bursary’. Your contribution, be it great or small, will be very gratefully appreciated.
