School: Five-Day Retreats at New Lands
A retreat at New Lands provides the opportunity to withdraw from
the outer world and spend a few days in White Eagle’s home—in
beautiful surroundings and countryside, being nourished both
physically and spiritually.
It is a special time for reconnecting with your soul purpose, through
meditation and communion with the divine spirit within and the higher worlds. All real learning and growth comes from what we find for ourselves in our own heart’s centre, and develop.
On a retreat this year you will have a particular opportunity to be part of the unfoldment of White Eagle’s Wisdom School. Retreats also offer time for lightheartedness and companionship with like-minded people. Indeed, friendships are often forged which last for years. We offer retreat places just to members of the Lodge in order to be able to lead people in the deeper aspects of White Eagle’s teaching and meditation. On all retreats there will be times for meditation, attunement, worship, spiritual service, discussion, spiritual practice, teaching and questions. During the five days there will be opportunities to attend contact healing services, and possibly to sit on an absent healing
group. At the end of a retreat we hope participants will leave having opened up a wider channel between the earthly personality and the spiritual self, and feel refreshed and at peace.
Food at New Lands is plentiful, vegetarian, and organic where possible. We can provide specially made vegan meals
if requested beforehand. We also have soya milk and rye bread available. It is important to realise, however, that
with only one cook/housekeeper we cannot provide more choices at meals. There will always be vegetables, fruit and
cheese available.
In harmony with White Eagle's teaching, we like to keep New Lands a meat-free and fish-free zone, and non-smoking.
Each retreat runs from Saturday afternoon and ends after breakfast on Thursday morning.
Living as a spiritual being in our world is often a challenge and yet one we have chosen to engage in. Therefore we must have been given the tools to succeed! White Eagle’s teaching shows us the way to do this and during this retreat we will explore how to put spiritual principles into practice, and how to understand ourselves and others better. No one is put on the spot to share; what matters is your inner process which is unique to each one, so the atmosphere created is one of safety, love and support.
This supportive Wisdom School Retreat will be of special interest for group leaders and those thinking of starting a group, as the programme will include a comprehensive look at White Eagle’s path of unfoldment, and ‘Building the Bridge between the Two Worlds’, an important aspect of our unfolding Wisdom School.
The concept of brotherhood is much used in our work but rarely defined in the context of historical examples of brotherhoods. Colum traces a path which leads from the mystery of Isis and Osiris through the times of Jesus to the Cathars of southern France and the twentieth-century Polaires. His retreats on this subject can prove a revelation to any who have or seek a historical perspective on the White Eagle work and its ideals, and the subject matter leaves us with a greatly improved awareness of what those ideals comprise.
This is primarily a meditation retreat, but it is also a retreat asking basic questions about the nature of consciousness and how the White Eagle path of unfoldment may not only raise the consciousness of the meditator but also enable him or her to assist in the raising of human consciousness generally. At least beginner-level experience of meditation will be helpful for this retreat, but it is open to all.
Creativity is not just about producing something inspiring, but is about developing the ability to sense and tap into the spiritual rays and the intuition. During this retreat we will be exploring creativity in all its aspects, from writing to art to sound, using White Eagle’s teaching. But more significantly, we will be learning how to attune to that intuitive, creative self, which is connected with our soul’s purpose in this lifetime. Creativity also brings great healing and the ability to work with the angels. No one is put on the spot to share; what matters is your inner process which is unique to each one, so the atmosphere created is one of safety, love and support.
One of White Eagle’s primary purposes has always been to help humanity to overcome what he calls ‘the mad fear of death’. No matter what our belief, the transition from one life to another, whether of our self or of those we love, can be challenging on many levels. During this retreat we will explore many aspects of this, including our own feelings about our passing and how to support others at such a time. We will also explore such aspects of transition as change, spiritual growth, fear, spiritual awareness and living joyfully. The retreat will be run in such a way as to create safety, lightness of heart and respect for each one’s journey.

Cost of Five-Day Retreats and New Lands Bursaries
All retreat fees can be paid in instalments to make it easier for you to attend. The cost of a full retreat in 2012 is £345 with an 'Early Bird' Reduced rate of £315 if your application is received before 1st February. There is an additional £90 suppliment for a single room where specifically requested. Please note our three single rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
A deposit of £50 is payable on acceptance, so please please do not send any money for retreats with your application.

The following list gives a short description of the St John'a Retreats for 2012.
Blessing of Mother Earth. January 4 – 6. This workshop involves a coming together on Twelfth Night to bless and give back to Mother Earth.
The Inner Light Series presented by Jane Sorbi. February 2 – 7. An ongoing series which will explore by subject the Inner Teachings of the White Eagle Lodge and will be open to just six individuals. During this retreat we will look at the Ancient Wisdom and the story of ‘Sun’ Worship.
God Has Fur! Presented by Stephanie Sorrell & Hanne Jahr. February 24 – 29. In this retreat we will be exploring animals, their evolution, our relationship and responsibility for them.
Sacred Geometry and the Harmony of Creation with Lyn Edwards, co-leader of the work in Australasia. March 8 – 12. The focus for this Sacred Geometry retreat is the Flower of Life and in particular the Seed of Life. Meditation on each Ray is the cornerstone of the retreat and will assist us to work in harmony with these great creative Rays in our everyday life.
The Light Bringer presented by Jane Sorbi & Staff. April 5 –10. In this retreat we will explore an understanding of the New World Teacher – one of those illumined souls who are expected to raise consciousness to a considerably higher experience of the Light.
Group Leaders Conference & Retreat. April 20 – 25. The objective of this conference & retreat is to strengthen and facilitate communication between us all across the Americas.
The Rose in the Heart with Margaret Bentley. May 4 – 9. With the gentle guidance of White Eagle’s words helping us towards an understanding of our emotions and feelings and their necessary part in our spiritual unfoldment we will come to a greater awareness of the rose, the light, the love growing in the heart of all humanity.
