'Come and Meet the Stars!' a residential workshop at New Lands

Following the success of last year’s astrological spiritual workshop on the seven rays, this year we are presenting another workshop, aimed at a wide audience. If you are one of the large number of people who have a deep interest in astrology but are put off by the mathematics, the technicalities or simply by a perception of it as an arcane and abstruse subject requiring enormous intellect, this is for you!
We shall be presenting the fundamentals of astrology in as user-friendly a way as is possible, incorporating dramatic and artistic techniques, meditation and visualisation as well as talks and discussion. In particular, we shall use as a centrepiece the technique of the ‘living horoscope’ which we have developed in recent years and is now ready for wider use. Above all, we aim to prove that astrology, although a serious spiritual science, is very enjoyable and can be downright fun too!

In 2009 the title for this popular annual event will be ‘Astrology and the Global Future’. Everyone with any interest in astrology is warmly welcome! White Eagle students on the correspondence courses are particularly encouraged to come. The occasion is now well-known among Lodge members and astrology students alike as a fascinating opportunity to enjoy meeting others of like mind, to hear talks on many aspects of astrology, participate in workshops and seminars and to meditate in the peace of the Temple. As usual there will be some choice of activities for differing levels of experience. The conference will run for two-and-a-half days and we have a strong team of speakers, including members of the Astrology School Council.

‘Astrology Without Tears’ a day with Simon Bentley

This day is aimed primarily at those many people who are very interested in astrology but do not want or do not feel able to tackle the mathematical and intellectual ‘nuts and bolts’ of the subject.
We shall be approaching the fundamental principles of astrology in as user-friendly a way as possible, demonstrating that a real feeling for the planets and stars does not have to involve complicated study and intellectual toil!
Cost for day £20, concessions £15. Light refreshments will be provided, please bring a vegetarian packed lunch.
The school’s on-going tuition (please ask for full Prospectus) is offered primarily through its three Correspondence Courses: Beginners, Preparatory and Advanced. The School’s special events in 2009 particularly aim to make an understanding of the basic principles of astrology, and its spiritual purpose more widely available. This supports the ‘reaching out’ aspiration of the Wisdom School.
