New Lands is a beautiful English country home surrounded by gardens and is the administrative centre for the White Eagle work. Just across the garden, on the adjacent hillside, is the White Temple, itself surrounded by gardens and landscaped meadowland. The new 'Rose Garden of Communion' is now open and can be entered directly from a side door in the Temple, or through a beautiful wrought iron 'Star' gate from the Temple grounds! It is a quiet place to sit and commune with loved
ones in spirit.
The Temple welcomes visitors from 2.30 to 5.00pm (or dusk if earlier), Sunday to Thursday inclusive, except when a service is in progress. At other times (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm) visitors can see the Temple by contacting New Lands office. Visitors are also welcome to the LIBRARY, and members may use the Library of Brotherhood and the Astrological Library.
SERVICES
A Sunday Service is normally held on the 2nd and 4th Sunday at 4.30pm. All are welcome.
Family Days are held monthly in the Temple at 11.30am. All are welcome—with or without children! Please bring a packed lunch if you wish to stay and join the after-lunch activities for all ages.
‘Parenting from the Heart’ Two family workshop days, continuing our series ‘Creating Spiritual Spaces with Young People’. These days aim to bring together the practical wisdom of a community in parenting from the heart.
The theme of both days this year will be the significance of family celebrations, including seasonal celebrations. We usually split into three different age groups, each with their own workshop activity, and all come together for the final session, as well as for a shared vegetarian potluck lunch. Everything is relaxed and informal.

New for 2010 – Shiningstars Parent and Child Playgroup
A new playgroup with a difference – meeting at New Lands during term times on Friday mornings – our friendly group will share ideas on nurturing young children in a loving supportive way. Many of the ideas will be inspired by Steiner philosophy, using natural materials in craft, stories, music and play, as well of course as being inspired by White Eagle's loving and non judgmental teachings. Weather permitting each morning session will include a walk in our beautiful grounds and gardens. The group will meet on Friday mornings in the Temple Meeting Room from 10.00am - 12.15pm and the cost per session will be £3 per parent and child, plus an extra 50p for each additional sibling. Full Moon Meditations take place on the Thursday as near as possible to the full moon each month and are open to all members of the Lodge who have some experience in White Eagle's way of meditation. There is a suggested donation of £4.00 per meditation to help support the continuing work of the Lodge.
Star Meditations are held in the Temple at 3.00pm, on the third Sunday in each month during weeks the Lodge is open. These meditations are open to all and are largely silent, but include prayer for all who suffer. The Temple grounds and gardens are open from 2.00pm to 5.00pm for visitors to enjoy.
World Peace Meditations are held in the Temple on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.00pm.
Everyone is welcome to these monthly meditations for unity, understanding and peace especially amongst the world's religious communities.
All that is asked of those participating is a wish to support the ideal of peace and understanding, and a trust that people working at an inner level can make a difference.
These relaxed, open and friendly meditations will last approx 30 minutes.
Transcending Limitations through Meditation—a new series of classes for members which involves instruction and practice in all aspects of meditation, and how we can make our meditation more real in our daily lives through 'earthing' what we experience. For details or to book, email
A new Book Group, to which everyone is welcome, meets at 1.30pm on the third Sunday of each month in the Temple Meeting Room. Explore White Eagle's teaching with like minds, and then stay on for the Star Meditation at 3.00pm. A lovely opportunity for communion, both physically and spiritually, with like minded friends!
Contact Healing services take place in the Temple on Mondays and Thursdays at 2.30pm and on Tuesday evenings at 7.00pm, except during Lodge closures. New patients please arrive 30 minutes earlier to allow time for your treatment to be discussed. All are welcome.
