The Aim of a Regional Centre The network of White Eagle Regional Centres through out the UK is designed to offer a local point of contact for all members and those interested in the White Eagle work, in addition to the full contact available with the Mother Lodge at New Lands, Liss, Hampshire. The primary work of a Regional Centre is networking - there will be occasional retreat days or other activities open to all, often at different locations around the region. Each regional centre has its own informal newsletter, and you can request to be on the circulation for this by contacting the co-ordinator for the region (details above). All Regional Centre Co-ordinators work on a voluntary basis and their contribution is greatly appreciated.
The East Anglia Regional Star Centre was launched on Sunday 27th June 2004 with a Retreat Day and Brotherhood led by Jenny Dent at the Ipswich Daughter Lodge which is the main centre for activities. It provides help and support for White Eagle members and friends in the counties of Suffolk. Norfolk, Essex, parts of Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire and Hertfordshire.
The Ipswich Daughter Lodge was founded in 1976 when it moved to its current premises. Prior to this, for several years, it had been the Ipswich Group held in a private home and lead by Mr. John Kemp, who continued to lead the Daughter Lodge for man years in its new home which is situated on the north side of Ipswich quite close to the town centre on the first floor of a large house (stair lift available) and although it doesn't have its own garden is located immediately opposite one of the entrances to Christchurch Park, the very beautiful and peaceful main town park with arboretum, ponds and a Tudor mansion.
The East Anglia Regional Star Centre newsletter 'White Wings' contains information about events at the Ipswich Lodge and also details of other groups and meetings in the area and is available to all - please
to be put on the circulation list.
