The Purpose of the Lodge
Every man, woman and child on earth has within their being a 'light'
to guide them. White Eagle calls this the Christ spirit, the spirit of
divine love. The word ‘Christ’ is meant universally, 
and should not be linked with any particular religion. Because this 'light'
is spiritual in essence, it is not always easy to recognize it in other
people, or realise it is there in ourselves.
The purpose of White Eagle's teaching is to help humanity develop its true nature, so that this inner, spiritual light can radiate throughout the whole being, and out into the world to bless, heal and comfort others. With the development of its true spiritual nature, the barriers between people and between them and the spiritual world are broken down. Thus the fear of death is removed.
The work of the Lodge is varied and enables people to develop their awareness of the inner light, and to use it, in a number of ways. You may be interested in healing, meditation, retreats and courses, astrology. Healing
White Eagle healing begins with the simple, yet profound work of radiating the light of the Christ Star to all in need. The six-pointed Christ star is a mystical symbol of man/woman made perfect in matter, and thus is the means of channeling spiritual perfection—the Christ light—to bring comfort, peace, joy and strength. The lodge runs a school of spiritual healing which grows out of this concept, and uses the power of the colour healing rays, through the chakras and the aura of the patient, both in absent and contact healing sessions. (This service is always offered free of charge, and contact healers are trained to national standards and follow national codes of conduct where these exist.)

Meditation
White Eagle teaches a well-grounded form of meditation, through which we learn how to make contact with divine love, and thus safely to gain vision of the spiritual levels of life, and allow the chakras (spiritual centres in the physical body) to open. We learn to use the finer, soul senses, whilst still in a physical body, and thus develop our intuition—inner, spiritual wisdom. Furthermore, it is a form of meditation which helps us bring that spiritual awareness right through into use in our daily lives.

Retreats, Courses and Events
Retreats, courses, workshops, festivals and other events are held in all major centres of the Lodge throughout the world. In its activities the Lodge strives to be open across all cultural, social and economic barriers. However, since the Lodge is a present-day Mystery School, there are certain retreats and courses which are geared to those who feel in harmony with White Eagle’s teaching, wish to pursue this path of spiritual unfoldment, and have consequently become members. Most of these courses will be directed towards the gradual development of spiritual awareness. As well as retreats and courses, all White Eagle centres hold regular services of Worship and Communion, and meditations.

Aims and Philosophy
The ‘white eagle’ is a symbol of spiritual vision, and The White Eagle Lodge, founded in 1936, was set up in order to bring to ordinary people the vision of the spiritual life in which we live, and which gives us life. Through becoming increasingly aware of this interpenetration of matter and spirit, we learn that death is not the end, but a return home to a greater reality; and that we can, each through our own spirit, be instruments of healing and peace for the world.
White Eagle, who spoke through the mediumship of Grace Cooke, describes himself as a spokesperson for a wiser Brotherhood in spirit, who help humanity to understand their true spiritual nature, and to grow in wise love for all life. Always encouraging, loving and strong, he is a friend to thousands of people all over the world and a spiritual guide in a path of gentle unfoldment. Thus he has taught us a safe method of meditation, how to pray with acceptance, how to serve others through healing and through the radiation of the Christ light, and how to lead a life where love—the motivating force of the cosmos—is the key-note. Through White Eagle’s teaching we learn that love works, because it is the power and wisdom behind all, and how to bring that love to bear in all our ordinary, daily encounters.
The White Eagle Lodge is non-profit making, non-proselytising, and has great respect for all religions and spiritual groups. For example, White Eagle has referred often to the inspiration and wisdom of Buddha, as well as other spiritual teachers and masters. When he uses the word ‘Christ’, therefore, he is not limiting what he means to the Christian tradition. Instead, he uses it in its ancient and mystical sense, as the divine essence of the Light—God. Through White Eagle, the Lodge also sees God as both ‘mother’ and ‘father’. It is with great respect for the angelic influence and for animal life, that the White Eagle’s teaching also helps us to work for an end to cruelty, and for harmony in and with our natural world.
The Lodge is a worldwide organization, with centres in Europe, America, Australia and elsewhere, and a Mother centre in England.

White Eagle Centres
The following are White Eagle's original words of dedication for the Lodge. Now there are many centres throughout the world—places of retreat and centres of light:
"We have chosen to call this centre the White Eagle Lodge—a name not bearing reference to any particular person but referring to the white eagle as a symbol of vision, used down the ages by the Wise Ones whom we are privileged to serve.'
‘This is to be a centre of light; and all who would serve the Great White Light, whatever their denomination, whatever their school of thought, can meet here on a common plane of brotherhood and service.'

‘Therefore, beloved children, we say that this is a place to be a lighthouse to guide men and women and we ask you to help us establish and maintain the light within. Let this become a focal point for the light of spirit . . .'
‘We want you to realise that our Lodge has behind it a fine purpose. That purpose extends far into the future: it is to bring to the earth a standard of life, which is in harmony with the infinite love. The lodge is not therefore a place of complex expositions of intellectual truth. It is instead ever working to stimulate the simple human love in every heart."
