A Celebration of the Light in Our Hearts
“What is this light which lights the human heart at Christmas time? It is kindness, it is love.”
Approaching the winter Solstice, many cultures and traditions celebrate the birth of the Light. The Advent Spiral marks the beginning of the four weeks leading up to the Christ-mass and reflects that journey. Each child, or adult, in turn, walks along the spiral pathway to the light at the centre, from which they illumine their own candle. During the course of their outward pathway, they then ‘share’ this light as they choose a place for it on the spiral. Friends and family of all ages are warmly invited to join us. Refreshments afterwards. Owing to fire precautions, best not to wear long, flowing garments.
The event ends at 5.00pm.
